AST, the Association of Software Testing, works on both theory and practice, but concentrates more on practice. Our objective is to build a community of testing practitioners, academics, managers and consultants who view the role of testing as skilled, relevant, and essential to the production of faster, better, and cheaper software products.

Context-Driven School |
PerfTestPlus is proud to support the principles of the Context Driven School of Software Testing. The first three of the principles are listed here, click the link to see all seven!
The value of any practice depends on its context. There are good practices in context, but there are no best practices.
People, working together, are the most important part of any project's context.

Agile Manifesto |
PerfTestPlus also proudly supports the Manifesto for Agile Software Development which values:
Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Working software over comprehensive documentation
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan
That is, while there is value in the items on the right, signatories value the items on the left more.
